Firework shows Amsterdam
The municipality of Amsterdam hosts fireworks shows in Amsterdam at various locations that are free to attend.These fireworks shows replace the tradition of residents being allowed to light fireworks themselves. Setting off fireworks yourself during New Year’s Eve is prohibited in Amsterdam. We are currently awaiting final information on the locations of the fireworks shows for New Year’s Eve 2022/2023. We hope to have this information by the end of October 2022.
New Year’s Eve party Museumplein
The big New Year’s Eve party will take place on the Museumplein in the centre of Amsterdam. In addition to a fireworks show, there will also be a stage with artists. The definitive programme for the New Year’s Eve party and the firework shows in Amsterdam is not yet known. We already know that the ice rink in Museumplein will be open until 01:00 on 1 January 2023. So you can skate into the new year. As soon as we have more information we will share it on this page and on our facebook and instragram.

New Years Eve Party AmsterdamThe Amsterdam Winter Paradise event is one of the best locations for starting 2023. This unique winter event is open on 31 December until 03:00 on 1 January. It promises to be a big party. Tickets [€23.50 per person] are available here.
