After she had done the sulphurous Tommy Girl and that pocket masterpiece What about Adam, Calice Becker made a volte-face and did the horrible J'Adore.
And as this was going on, it seems the boy wonder Kurkdjian [who had done Le Mâle and nothing else] had been watching closely. The year that J'Adore came out he signed off on Green Tea Arden, which is totally different from Le Mâle and clearly in the style of Becker: citrus and fruity rhubarb on green tea, and a smidgeon of amber in the base.
It’s tart and fresh, a summer cologne that cuts through the heat with ease.
And now, being twenty years old, it can be found online for peanuts.

I bought this blind and I’m glad I did. It was pretty much what I thought it would be, soft clean and fresh. It does start a little sharp with fresh citrus and mellows to a softer scent fairly quickly. It’s a great fragrance for day time, and non offensive

my mom used to give me samples of this or the other products like lotions as a gift when i was a kid. it was probably one of my earliest introductions to perfume and it still holds up as a favourite now that i'm an adult.

this is a great fragrance that smells very clean. it starts off a very sour, juicy citrus and transitions smoothly into an almost aquatic green tea and jasmine note that i would compare to sencha tea. the green tea note lasts throughout the dry down and compliments the amber and caraway well, ending the fragrance with a comforting, clean laundry type of smell with a bit of herbal depth. it lasts fairly long for me, i can get 5 hours out of this perfume easily. i think it would really suit humid, rainy spring or summer days. i also think this fragrance can be gender neutral and would be a good option for people who are sensitive to more intense smells, and/or very age appropriate for a teen or young adult who is just starting out with fragrance as i feel all of the notes are quite easy to identify and understand.

Mid-range bitterness to start. Mixed, squeezed, almost Real citrus. Not bad so far. I'm sure it is better, in hot weather[?]. Sometimes, heat ruins things. Anyway, the bitterness eventually fades, citrus rules, flowers move in. I only get a touch of tea. Nothing overly amazing or exceptional here.

The florals increase for me later; becomes prettier. Has a light, mellow base. Soft and musky with hints of a fresh garden. Not great for longevity. In the end - not too bad.

Most expensive anti-mosquito spray on this planet. Period.

Quite fleeting, as I can see it is on others too. I'm in firm agreement on those who found this to be more lemon than jasmine, however my appreciation of the light, steamy, brief tea note trumps the other inconsistencies. Fairly feminine-leaning unisex- like Tommy Girl. Works great as a “body spray”.

This would get a positive review if it was called lemon tea. I get a green note that might be green tea but might be any other green plant as well. It's a sweet cologne. Nothing extraordinary.

Fresh, herbal, citrus and clean.

A lovely Summer fragrance which would be amazing if only it lasted longer [I get 2 hours at most].

This one of my first perfumes I was ever given. At the time I was 11 so it was not really appropriate for my age or personal tastes. I kept the bottle and slowly began to use it over time.

It is particularly wonderful for Australian summers to which I mean the dead heat days where you feel like you're wearing an inch of sweat the moment you are out of the shower. It is a long lasting scent that helps keep you smelling fresh even on those days. It's a fresh almost citrus scent with the dryness of green tea in it. It fades down to the green tea note and holds for a long while.

While it is not a favourite scent for me in terms of notes, it is certainly my go to for a long-lasting fresh scent that also makes me feel fresh when I am decidedly suffering in the heat.

Light and refreshing...

I really love this one! It's like a fresh, citrus spray with a lot of added green tea. It's good at doing one thing really, which is making you feel fresh and energised. This is in my opinion a unisex perfume, because the aroma of green tea and citrus is very neutral and refreshing. It's also quite light [I think it performs like a weak Eau de Toilette], so it's perfect for people who "don't like perfume" etc.

It's light, inoffensive and works perfectly in hot, humid weather and on those days when you don't want to wear anything loud or offensive or heavy or overpowering etc. I would say this is the perfume to wear when you need a "detox" from other perfumes!

I think this one is worth the price [very cheap by the way], and it works as a light, refreshing summer spray perfect for aeroplanes, travelling, long journeys, summer parties, even wearing to work. It's very light and versatile. Plus you can spray on clothes and the smell will last longer. I highly recommend this one and it won't be too expensive. It does it's job well. A cooling, relaxing citrus green tea & mint combination that works in the hot days of spring & summer... and at the office and after the shower.

Light, breezy & perfect!

First i was given a large body lotion of this scent, used it up pronto & loved it so well i sought out the perfume; so this review is for the Eau Parfumee: The open is wonderful, citrusy tea which does quickly fade i admit & i wished it lasted longer. But the base [drydown] which becomes apparent faster than in most perfumes is just scrumptious, primarily the oakmoss/amber & that drydown lasts into a 2nd morning for me. It is beguiling without being in your face. Luckily the celery/celery seed note is not apparent. A funny thing is the top notes linger much longer in the body lotion than they do in the Eau Parfumee, so i'll get some more of that to augment my perfume.

Light teaThis seems to be marketed more as a perfumed water than aa a Cologne or EdT, and thus I did not expect any projection or longevity of note - and did not get any A nice orange opening with a touch of fruit and bergamot leads I to a pleasant green tea note with a minty touch. A nit of a very light ambery note briefly bids a hello, and then it's all over in about an hour. Needs very frequent reapplication, but what you see is what you get.

Nice but useless I'd always been put of buying this because it looked so cheap. Then recently I stumbled across a small bottle at a very low price and since I've always liked green tea scents, I didn't have much to lose. I sprayed it on wrist and couldn't really smell anything much, so I tried again. I could just about smell something but not enough to tell what it was. I figured maybe I had a cold coming on so I left it. The following day I tried it a couple more times and still couldn't really detect very much more than a fresh, clean smell which was gone after about half an hour. Today I sprayed a bit on my clothes and that is where it seems to work best. It's still barley there and hard to tell exactly what it is you're smelling but at least there is something. Honestly it seems a bit pointless. It's nice but further than that it's hard to form an opinion. Maybe it's good for freshening up clothes and bedding but that is about all. I'm surprised that it is still being sold. To start with I wondered if I perhaps had a dodgy bottle but going by other reviews it seems not.Pros: Costs very littleCons: Doesn't last at all and projection is very poor"

I really loved the way this smelled on my friend- fresh and green without being too sweet or minty. Projection is average and longevity seemed to be decent- I was with her the whole evening.

The original Green Tea is a lovely light scent. I do have to reapply it, but it's a perfume I can wear easily anytime. It does have a refreshing aroma of green tea.

A simple summery fragrance, very well priced too.

Starts nice and green with lots of sweet tea notes, then into lemon and orange with a touch of floral.

This doesn't go anywhere particularly exciting but what it does it does well.

I agree absolutely with Mazenderan. a great opening and then nothing, I mean NOTHING AT ALL
A thumbs up for its great opening, a thumbs down for its longevity, final then is a neutral

A refreshing, clean scent, this opens with the green tea, and ends with a light citrus scent on me. Good for a warm summers day, it lasts 4-6 hours, and it is the only Elizabeth Arden perfume I can wear that does not overwhelm me.

I don't dislike this scent. It's a pleasant, citrussy tea affair. However, there's no way to tell how it might deepen or develop over time, as it wears off in about ten minutes flat. There's an initial burst of sharp fragrance, and then it's gone.

No depth, no staying power. It's amazing to compare this to Blue Grass [not even a favourite of mine] in terms of depth and longevity. What on earth is Arden up to these days?

I got a strong shot of citrus, followed by sweet flowers with a tea undertone. Then nothing... it just faded away in no time flat.

Overall, a bland scent that doesn't stick around long. I'd be better served getting a deodorant spray at the drug store. So not worth the price.

All i smell is a sort of mentholated white musk with a citrus-floral undertone, combined with an aromatic green ambery tea. The citrus are prominent at the beginning and are combined with a green tea note which appears flavoured by a woodsy-floral poutporri. In the dry down emerges the mildness of white amber that on the side of musk softens the prickly temperament of citruses. The accord between green tea, jasmine and amber is decently sophisticated. The mint enhances the glamour feel of the creation. Not bad. The projection is notable.

At first spray I get the overwhelming tea, I thought oh boy, too much. Then it mellows and I get the lemon & sweetness and it settles in to a delicate floral w the tea background [I don't get the mint or spices]. I have to agree that it cycles very quickly and has almost no lasting power. Pleasant and unobtrusive perfect for summer days and vacations imo.

It's fine, but it lasts way too little, even deodorants last longer! After you shower, the shower gel will smell on your skin for a longer time than this perfume does when you spray.Very dissapointing, because it really smells nice and natural. It's so weak, that it's impossible to wear.

The opening is citrus with a little mint; the passable green tea note is in the background and grows stronger as the citruses lessen in intensity. The middle florals take control of the green tea accord and provide a pleasant feminine ambiance to the heart accord. I don't get any amber in the base, and I'm not even sure about the musk, but I do get a moss note still combined with the original tea note. Green Tea has about average sillage and slightly less than average longevity. It's a pleasant fragrance.
