a full jailbreak for Windows Phone/Windows 10 Mobile devices, meaning you have access to every file and directory on the handset, and can run any arbitrary code. After the release of Windows 10 Mobile to public, Interop unlock methods have been around for quite a year now. Today, some folks at XDA Developers found a new method to unlock all the x50 Lumia series.
Before you go with the process, I remind you that this method is not for simple users, because it may damage your phone or eventually brick it. So unless you know what you’re doing, don’t do that and wait for a more simple and stable method.

Here’s the method:
- Download the Windows Phone 8.0 SDK Lite from here. Once downloaded, install it on your PC
- Enable Developer Mode on your device [Settings > Update & Security > For Developers]
- Download the vcREG.zip file from the Attached Files section here. Once downloaded, unzip the folder
- Connect your Lumia device to your PC via USB
- Open Application Deployment on your PC from the Start Menu or via Cortana/Search
- On Application Deployment, click on the Browse button, browse to the extracted vcREG.zip folder and select the vcREG_1_6_W10M.xap file. After that, deploy the app [make sure your device doesn’t lock itself]
- Once the deployment is complete, open the VCReg app on your Lumia
- Click the ellipsis menu from the app bar, and select the x50 Series Unlock button [if it shows an error about a missing Acer file, just ignore the error]
- After that, click on the Step 1 button. Clicking on the Step 1 button will show a dialog asking you to do the following before clicking on Step 2:
- Download and extract the i386.zip from here
- Open a CMD as Admin on the extracted folder
- Now go to the vcREG.zip extracted folder which we extracted earlier in the process
- Copy the file acer.service.acersystemservice.spkg and put it in a folder inside that extracted folder [call it anything you like]
- Then enter the following command: iutool -v -p “path to the folder that has acer.service.acersystemservice.spkg” [In our case, the command was: iutool -v -p “D:\Windows\Interop\vcREG\acer” ]
- Once done, the device should reboot
- After the device has rebooted, you need to copy the files newndtksvc.dll and ndtksvc.dll into your phone’s Documents folder [you can find both of the files in the extracted vcREG folder]
- Now, open the VCReg app on your phone, go to the x50 Series Unlock page from the ellipsis menu and click on Step 2
- The app will ask you to reboot your device, so go ahead and reboot it
- Once the reboot is done, open the app’s x50 Series Unlock page again and click on Step 3
- Lastly, you’ll have to reboot one more time
- Now, you need to open the app again and go to the x50 Series Unlock page. From there, click on the “Live Interop/Capability Unlock” checkbox and hit Apply
- After that, your device should now be interop unlocked
Once again, do not try this unless you know what you’re doing.
You need to unlock your Windows Phone through Interop since there's no other way to access the unencrypted WhatsApp backup:
- enable Developer mode from your phone's settings [Settings -> For developers]
- download on the Lumia Interop Tools from this link [not from MS Store] and touch the downloaded ZIP file to open it
- tap/click the following files
- InteropTools_x86_x64_arm_LegacyRelease.cer [certificate]
- all the files into the Dependencies/ARM folder
- InteropTools_2.0.95.0.appxbundle [the app itself]
- reboot the phone then start Interop Tools and choose "Interop unlock"
- enable NDTKSvc and reboot
- unlock the phone with "Interop/Cap Unlock" and reboot - on some phone the "New Capability Engine Unlock" needs to be switched too

Có 2 dạng Unlock thường thấy trên nền tảng Windows 10 Mobile [hay là Windows Phone trước đây], thứ nhất là Developer Unlock [thường được gọi ngắn gọn là “Dev Unlock”]. Dạng Unlock này khá đơn giản, được Microsoft tạo ra cho các developer – tức các nhà phát triển ứng dụng trên WP có thể chạy thử ứng dụng mới được lập trình trên thiết bị của mình. Có thể nói đây là một “chức năng” của WP, được Microsoft tạo ra một cách có chủ ý. Sau khi tiến hành kiểu Unlock này, bạn chỉ có thể cài vài ứng dụng bên ngoài Store [tối đa là 10]. Ngoài ra, chiếc điện thoại của bạn vẫn như bao chiếc WP bình thường khác.
Interop Unlock thì khác, đây là hình thức Unlock do người dùng WP phát triển. Bạn có thể cài không giới hạn ứng dụng bên ngoài store trên một chiếc máy đã được Interop [đương nhiên là nếu đủ bộ nhớ]. Hơn nữa, bạn có thể can thiệp vào hệ thống của máy. Thậm chí có thể fake thông tin của một chiếc Lumia 520 “cổ đại” sang lumia 950XL để cập nhật Windows 10 phiên bản mới nhất. Có thể nói, Interop Unlock trên WP tương tự như Root trên Android hay Jailbreak trên iOS.
Chỉnh sửa hệ thống Registry trên Windows 10 Mobile sau khi Interop Unlock
Hướng dẫn Interop Unlock ngay trên điện thoại Windows 10 Mobile không cần PC:
Bạn không có máy tính và cũng không muốn ngồi hàng net để thao tác? Không sao, bạn có thể tiến hành Interop Unlock bằng công cụ Interop Tool ngay trên chiếc điện thoại chạy Windows 10 Mobile của mình:
- Vào Settings -> Update & Security -> For developer và tích chọn Developer mode:
- Tải file sau về điện thoại, để nó ở bất cứ vị trí nào bạn thấy tiện Tải về tại đây
- Dùng File Explorer đến file vừa tải, chạm vào file và chọn install
- Chờ một lát, Interop Tool sẽ xuất hiện trong danh sách ứng dụng
- Chú ý: Nếu không cài được, các bạn tải file sau Download. Dùng các phần mềm giải nén có sẵn trên store như 8 Zip, 7z ZIP RAR tiến hành giải nén file vừa download về. Vào thư mục vừa giải nén, các bạn lần lượt cài hết các file trong thư mục Dependencies rồi mới cài file InteropToolsApp_beta _1.7_0.0.157.0_ arm.appxbundle. Nếu vẫn không được, các bạn thử cài file Settings_Version_InteropToolsApp_ beta_1.7_0.0.157.0_ arm.appxbundle
- Nếu không thấy Interop Tool trong danh sách ứng dụng, các bạn vào Settings -> Extras sẽ thấy Interop Tool.
- Tải file RootTool.zip về. Dùng phần mềm giải nén ra
- Vào Interop Tool, Chọn APPLICATION MANAGER
- Chọn Development Mode
- Chuyển sang Tab Register a Package, bấm Browse
- Duyệt đến thư mục RootTool vừa giải nén, chọn file AppxManifest
- Bấm Register Package, chờ đến khi cài đặt hoàn tất [nhanh thôi]
- Vào danh sách ứng dụng, bạn sẽ thấy RootTool
- Vào RootTool, lần lượt chọn Jailbreak Lumia -> Interop Unlock
- Điện thoại đã được Interop Unlock, bạn khởi động lại để điện thoại hoạt động tốt nhất.
Interop Unlock Windows Phone 8.1 [cần máy tính]:
Điều kiện cần:
- Trong danh sách ứng dụng có Mixradio
- Chưa cập nhật thông tin thêm [extras + info].
- Máy tính chạy Windows 8, 8.1, 10
Nếu đã cập nhật thông tin thêm, các bạn phải đặt lại điện thoại [hard reset]. Nếu đặt lại điện thoại nhưng vẫn không có Mixradio, các bạn tìm các bản rom trên mạng và flash. May mắn sẽ có mixradio để Interop Unlock. Nếu làm mọi cách vẫn không có Mixradio, các bạn có thể lên Windows 10 Mobile thông qua Unlock Bootloader [không khuyến khích].
Trở lại các máy WP 8.1 có Mixradio
- Download file SDK 8.1 Lite về máy tính và cài đặt
- Tiến hành Developer Unlock, các bạn truy cập đường dẫn C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows Phone\v8.1\Tools\Phone Registration, mở PhoneReg.exe
- Mở kết nối internet trên điện thoại, chú ý điện thoại đúng ngày giờ, kết nối điện thoại vào máy tính thông qua cáp USB
- Click Register
- Lúc này một của sổ nhập liệu xuất hiện, yêu cầu nhập tài khoản Microsoft Developer. Tài khoản này có thể lấy từ các nguồn share trên mạng. Tuy nhiên, hiện nay các tài khoản được share phần lớn đều không còn sử dụng được dẫn đến khan hiếm tài khoản dev. Việc đăng kí tài khoản developer cũng khá khó khăn đối với người dùng thông thường. Nếu bạn cần tài khoản developer 2 apps [vừa đủ để interop], vui lòng liên hệ FB: fb.com/sau.tu.908
- Nếu bạn có tài khoản Microsoft Developer, hãy nhập vào cửa sổ và nhấn Register [hay cái gì đó đại loại thế trên cửa sổ. Mình lười check, xin thông cảm]
- Khi nào trên cửa sổ Windows Phone Developer Registration 8.1 báo Status: Successfully hoặc Identified Windows Phone device…. thì đã Dev Unlock thành công. Nếu không thì thử lại vài lần là được
- Tải file Custom WP.xap về máy tính
- Mở Windows Phone Application Deployment [C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows Phone\v8.1\Tools\AppDeploy\AppDeploy.exe], đảm bảo điện thoại vẫn kết nối với máy tính, chọn file .xap vừa tải về và ấn Deploy
- Nếu deploy thành công, tải file này để vào thẻ nhớ [không để trong thư mục nào cả, để bên ngoài thẻ nhớ]
- Trên điện thoại, mở Custom WP System 0.6.0.1, dòng Permision SD đang là màu đỏ. Các bạn click vào và chọn thẻ nhớ [sd card], nó sẽ chuyển thành màu xanh.
- Chọn Select Mod App, duyệt vào thẻ nhớ và chọn file xap vừa tải về thẻ nhớ
- Chọn Apply App.
- Nếu thực hiện thành công, bạn thoát ra, mở Mixradio
- Chạm vào dấu…phía dưới và chọn Teamplate.
- Chọn Interop unlock cap… và dòng thứ 2 [nếu muốn]
- Nhấn Apply
- Đã Interop Unlock, các bạn khởi động lại điện thoại
