Better than modi 2 for sure. Sanskrit probably a little better or little worse. No technical reviews of D10 yet, but if you want a usb powered dac then this will be sufficient and decent. If you want wall powered dac then smsl is good bang for buck.
Why is this better than modi 2?
I bought a modi 2 and was disappointed. It couldn't better a cheap Onkyo cdp. It's difficult to describe, but the music was a bit on the fatiguing side where high frequencies became seemingly exaggerated. And imaging was mediocre. I tried nice cables, etc. then I gave it away. I don't sell crap.
