How to review only selected card năm 2024

The options in the new version are designed to be consistent with Anki Desktop... I don't think Damien wants to add this feature since the idea of SRS is to emphasize reviewing cards at the correct time. Therefore if you need to use this feature, you are likely trying to learn too many cards.

You can try to request this feature if you really want it though, by asking over there: //anki.tenderapp.com/

If you just want a better work-around than you're currently using, you can create a filtered deck and call it "new cards" or something, then in the search box use "is:new" [optionally together with "deck:YOURDECKNAME"] with an approriate limit on the max number of cards. When you finish reviewing all the cards in the filtered deck, they will be returned to the original decks automatically. Next time you want to review the new cards you can just choose "rebuild deck"

I really liked how in AnkiDroid1 I had fine-grained control over how cards were reviewed for a given deck, e.g. new cards first, oldest cards first etc. In AnkiDroid2, most of these fine-grained controls are now gone, with the only options basically being "random" vs "in order". There also appears to be no options to control how New/Reviewed cards are introduced together, only New-specific or Review-specific options.

Being able to review New cards first was really important for me, as I often had hundreds of Review cards each day [that I may not even get through], vs 10-20 new cards per day. I liked being able to see New cards in the morning, and then work my way through the Review cards throughout the day [occasionally revisiting the days New cards]. Now, the only way I can see all New cards is to go through all the Review cards also, as it appears the New cards are randomly spread throughout the reviews. As I often dont get through all the Reviews, this means I will miss New cards.

Am I missing some options that might allow me to do this...or is this something that can be added in future? My current solution is to add New cards to a different deck, and then merge it back into my main deck, but this gets annoying after a while.

The option exists in the desktop client [Tools -> Preferences, first tab] that affects the entire collection. AnkiDroid doesn't have that option yet so you will need to do it on the desktop first and sync your collection.

If you want to review all cards in this deck, just click ok. [you can review cards with selected tags, if you desire]

  • Now that you're back at the main screen for the deck, click "options"
  • Replace "order due" with "order added"
  • Ensure that you select the box that says "reschedule cards based on my answers in this deck"
  • Click rebuild. Expected Result

now you'll be presented with these cards in the order they were added. When you complete the cards, they will be marked as complete in the original deck, and they will reappear in the original deck based on how you graded them while answering

Actual Result

it doesn't work on AnkiDroid [as well as on Anki Desktop] - the cards are shown in a random order [or sorted maybe by some other algorithm] but NOT in the order they were added [in spite of the settings]! If I reset the progress [i.e. make the cards new ones] - then the order they are shown obeys the settings [show in the order added]

AnkiApp lets you organize related cards within a deck by using tags. You can then set up a review that focuses only on reviewing these tagged cards.

Cards can be tagged from the cards view, or during a review session. For tagging during a review session, you can choose the "tag" option from the side menu. Starring or ignoring a card is a convenient way to quickly add a tag that allows you to 1] quickly find starred cards in the cards overview screen, or 2] keep cards out of review sessions [if ignored].

To tag a card from the deck screen, open the cards view and choose a card. Star a card is at the bottom:

Anki can be frustrating at times. For example, what if you just made a card and want to study it immediately? Or what if you have a pre-made Anki deck like the Yousmle.com Step 1 cards, and want to study a specific cardiology card? How can you force Anki to show you a particular card, without having to review all of the cards ahead of it in the queue?

How to Change the Due Date on Anki Cards: Use This to Add Specific Anki Cards to Your Reviews [Even If They’re Not Scheduled to Show Up Yet]

To start, first go to the “Browse” menu option.

Next, select the card or cards that you would like to force into your studies. You can hold “Shift” to highlight multiple cards.

Select the cards you want to change the due date for and hit “Set Due Date…”

Choose in how many days you’d like to see the card[s]. Today = 0. Then hit “OK.”

Note now that the cards’ due date has changed.

Anki cards are now due today

You’ll note that the cards that you set in this way are added to “Reviews.” See the picture below, where the number of card to review is now “5,” whereas before it was “0.”

Hope this helps! Again, I’m trying to create more short tutorials for the nuts and bolts of using Anki, so please let us know in the comments if you find this useful, and what your thoughts are!
