I. PHÂN TÍCH CHỦ ĐỀ
Chủ đề về Society Xã hội là mội chủ đề rất rộng, bao gồm rất nhiều vấn đề nảy sinh trong xã hội hiện nay như các vấn đề về bình đẳng giới, gia đình, học đường, hay các vấn nạn trong xã hội. Thông thường những đề thi IELTS Writing sẽ tập trung phân tích về những mặt tiêu cực hay tích cực của một xu hướng.
Một trong những bộ phận quan trọng trong xã hội là giới trẻ. Với sự phát triển kinh tế và mức sống được cải thiện nhiều như hiện nay, các bạn thường có nhiều thời gian hơn để tham gia các hoạt động xã hội, hoạt động giải trí hay có dư giả tiền để tiêu cho những dịch vụ giải trí hay thư giãn. Bản thân xu hướng này các bạn cũng có thể nhận thấy chúng mang lại cho chính bản thân các bạn trẻ cũng như xã hội những ảnh hưởng tốt hay không tốt.
Khi phân tích cho luận điểm về việc xu hướng mang lại ảnh hưởng tích cực, các bạn có thể đưa ra những ý như những hoạt động đó có thể giúp các bạn trẻ thư giãn sau những giờ làm việc căng thẳng, hay những hoạt động đó có thể giúp cho xã hội tốt đẹp hơn, ví dụ như việc các bạn làm tình nguyện, các bạn vừa có cơ hội khám phá những vùng đất mới, vừa có thể giúp những người có hoàn cảnh khó khăn hơn.
Với những ý phân tích cho ảnh hưởng không tốt đến giới trẻ, các bạn có thể áp dụng luận điểm rằng khi các bạn tốn quá nhiều thời gian và tiền bạc vào hoạt động nào đó, thời gian các bạn dành cho việc học tập và làm việc sẽ bị giảm bớt đi khiến cho công việc của các bạn không năng suất hay cạn kiệt về tài chính điều mà ngày nay các bạn rất dễ dàng nhận thấy, khi một người vừa nhận lương vào ngày đầu tháng đến giữa tháng đã có thể hết sạch số tiền lương đó, rồi đi vay bạn bè để có tiền tiêu, sau đó nhận lương tháng mới và bắt đầu một vòng luẩn quẩn khác.

Human in general are experiencing a longer life expectancy, which lead to an overwhelming number of people continue to work after the legal retirement age. Whereas, others opt for entering the workforce at an earlier age, and from my perspective, this is a negative development.
First, choosing a career path - and the appropriate university courses for that profession - is a decision of paramount importance. Contrary to popular belief, landing on a job while studying - be it a part-time job or an apprenticeship, could easily distract youngsters from fulfilling their duties at school. In essence, in the current climate of obsession with early success, one is put under intense pressure to become successful artists, entrepreneurs and startup CEOs before the age 25, enjoying retirement with a generous income. That being said, that chilling reality could be a pipe dream for most. In fact, many well-paid jobs, such as doctors or lawyers, require a multi-year commitment to a long training course which can take up to 6 years or more, and thus, are not suitable for those who start working too early, yet lack formal education.
On the other hand, there is mounting evidence that many elderly people are physically and mentally fit to stay in work until their 70s. I believe that people who remain in paid employment past retirement age or involved in community or voluntary work improve their chances of staying healthier for longer. Continuing to have a routine and going into a place of work each day can prevent the sense of loneliness that could come with retirement. Furthermore, by engaging in active employment, two problems are solved: the pension and the retirement savings crisis. Financial independence is the ultimate goal that everyone would pursue in order to live comfortably in older age.
In short, the youth-obsessed culture has caused young people to take career decisions earlier than previous generations. However, working past retirement age could result in lengthening life spans, improved health and financial secure retirement.

Rising urban population has made more urban dwellers opt for small living spaces. From my perspective, this trend in urban housing poses more threats than benefits.
On the one hand, tiny spaces offer homeowners a simple, frugal and blissfully stress¬free lifestyle. First, given the limited space, one would have to make some hard choices about what to keep, and what to get rid of. They dont feel weighed down by all the frivolous items they used to own or a huge mortgage, and they spend less time and money cleaning and maintaining their home, which allows more time and money for leisure activities. In addition, living in a tiny home can help save money in many different ways. People would be able to trim their monthly expenses on heating, cooling, property taxes, or home maintenance; and hence, put a little extra each month in the savings account.
However, opponents of this housing trend would argue that smaller spaces may be linked to health risks and privacy issues. Although micro-apartments may be fantastic for young professionals in their 20s, they definitely can be unhealthy for older people who face different stress factors that can make tight living conditions a problem. Home is supposed to be a safe haven, and a resident with a demanding job may feel trapped in a claustrophobic apartment at night. Another main concern of putting people in tightly-packed living situations is the fundamental lack of privacy to all residents, exerting negative influences on their well-being. There might be a trickledown effect for children raised in these spaces, who might find it difficult to find a quiet, private room to read and complete their schoolwork.
In short, living in a tiny home does have compelling benefits, but it is not without its challenges as well. Taking the potential health risks and crowding challenges, I believe micro-living may not be the urban panacea weve been waiting for. All in all, tiny spaces should be seen as a negative development.

One of the great achievements of the twentieth century is a dramatic rise in life expectancy, which raises a controversial question as to whether this is a negative or positive development to society. The following essay will discuss both sides of this argument.
To begin with, an older population presents many challenges to labour markets and government spending. First, as the life expectancy increases, there will be relatively more people claiming pension benefits while fewer people will be working and paying income taxes. As a consequent, government spending on health care and pension would increase, placing more financial burden on taxpayers - those who are still in employment. Aging also has a direct impact on the labour market, since improvements in life expectancy affect individual behaviour in deciding to remain in work longer. As a greater number of senior citizens stay in the workforce, the competition for work will increase.
On the other hand, a rise in the proportion of elderly persons in the population would widen the pool of volunteers in the economy. This has been identified as a global advantage where the elderly contribute free labour to community and government projects after retirement. These elders are more comfortable financially and find pleasure in giving back to their communities and countries. Furthermore, an aging population can bring social benefits. For example, the elderly are less likely to commit crimes than the youth populations; therefore, they would improve social welfare in the community. Older generation can also use their experience to help uphold morals and values in a country.
In conclusion, the problems of population ageing go hand in hand with economic growth and rates of participation in the labour market, yet I would argue that this is not the case. Even if elderly people require greater health care access, the social benefits that they brought about would surely far outweigh the disadvantages.

Under the stresses of modern life, millions of families are spending less time together than ever before. In this essay, the major causes and negative impacts of such issue will be examined.
To begin with, the hectic pace of modern life and the prevalence of electronic devices are identified as the biggest culprits of decreased family time. In this busy day and age, it is increasingly common that adults would put work commitments over quality time with their loved ones. Promotion of gender equality in recent years has resulted in greater engagement of women in the workforce. Consequently, the additional financial resource in these dual- income households are inversely proportional to bonding time between family members. Moreover, the apparent growing attachment to electronic devices such as smartphones is also sabotaging family interaction. People these days would spend enormous amount of time glued to their screens, neglecting their children. In a broad sense, technology has created a family divide and worsen social interaction.
This burning issue can exert detrimental effects on society and individuals. First, lack of proper care and attention from parents is one of the leading causes of juvenile delinquency. As parents fail to serve as powerful role models and provide guidance for their children, youth tend to follow a path towards criminal behaviours. Besides, the aim of family time will be one of complete relaxation and enhancement of wellbeing. Having meaningful relationships with loved ones gives an individual a cushion to everyday stress and allow them to release stress levels by having an engaging and heart¬connecting conversation. Otherwise, an individual is likely to experience more emotional distress without a proper support system from his immediate family.
In conclusion, families are the bedrock of a strong and stable society. Being physically and emotionally away from home and family may lead to accelerating teenage crimes and prevent an individual from living a fulfilling, meaningful, and potentially a longer life.

Freedom is an abstract concept that cannot be adequately measured on any physical scales. However, many people incline to the view that children these days enjoy a more liberal life than previous generations. My opinion is utterly opposed on this issue for the following reasons.
One of the arguments put forth in support of the former statement is that the digital age presents an unparalleled opportunity for kids to gain access to a tremendous amount of information without geographical barriers. Ironically, the advent of the Internet is more of a mixed blessing. Indeed, the obvious merits of the world wide web cannot overshadow a worrying tendency of that growing addiction to electrical gadgets such as laptops, tablets or smartphones. Therefore, early exposure to the virtual world ended up erecting invisible boundaries, inducing kids estrangement from actual human interactions.
On the other hand, amidst a modern-day hectic world, there is an inordinate amount of pressure on young people to become successful artists, entrepreneurs or startup CEOs before the age of 30. Consequently, parents would compel their offspring to enroll in highest-paying college majors, oblivious to their utmost passion. In addition, adult supervision seems to be extending into every aspect of childrens lives. Take the recent arrest and jailing in US of a mother for abandoning her nine- year-old daughter to play alone in the park while she worked. In the current climate of obsession with childrens safety, parents who let their youngsters out of sight court the accusation of irresponsibility, if not gross negligence. However, this school of thought may accidentally cause the erosion of childrens freedom to engage with the world at will.
In conclusion, while the proliferation of the electronic devices could hamper childrens direct contact with the real world, parents may unintentionally impede a child from acquiring their innate dreams and fundamental life skills for being overprotective. Thus, I believe millennials feel confined rather than free during a hightech era.
