When does Spotify Wrapped come out?

Spotify Wrapped is now out for 2021. It released on 1 December, as it did in 2020.

However, while some people have been sharing their most-streamed artists and top songs on social media, there are also thousands of angry comments from people unable to see their results.

How can I see my Spotify Wrapped?

If you head to the Spotify Wrapped website it says 2021 Wrapped is ready and tells people to head to their Spotify app to see it.

It should appear on your homepage. If it is not there yet, keep checking back.

Once you have access you will be able to see data such as your most-played songs and artists, how many minutes youve listened for, your genre preferences and your favourite podcasts.

There is also a more general Wrapped feature that includes playlists of the years most-streamed songs, which you can access online as well as through the app.

Who were the most popular artists this year?

Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny was the most popular artist of 2021 his songs were streamed more than 9.1 billion times.

The reggaeton artist also took the crown in 2020, when he became the first non-English language act to be Spotifys most-streamed artist of the year.

Taylor Swift came in second place, thanks to her two re-recorded albums, Fearless and Red.

K-pop group BTS, whose hits include Butter, came in third place. They were followed by Drake and Justin Bieber.

Olivia Rodrigos drivers licence was the most-streamed song of the year, after being played more than 1.1 billion times.

Second was Lil Nas Xs Montero [Call me by Your Name]. Justin Bieber and The Kid LAROI took third with Stay, followed by another Rodrigo hit, Good 4 U.

Dua Lipa rounded out the top five with Levitating.

Unsurprisingly, Rodrigo also had the most popular album of the year her debut effort Sour.

Lipas Future Nostalgia, Justin Biebers Justice, Ed Sheerans = and Doja Cats Planet Her also made the top five.

Spotify said: If 2020 was the year that flipped the world on its head, 2021 was the year that we got used to seeing things upside down.

With normal thrown out the window, we embraced the unknown and championed all of the things that make each of us unique.

Spotifys 2021 Wrapped is a celebration of this the millions of weird and wonderful ways to listen and live in a world that continues to keep us on our toes.

When does Spotify Wrapped stop tracking?

If you wanted to frantically try and game your Spotify Wrapped data by giving it a fragile veneer of credibility, then sadly youre out of luck.

The streaming service has previously acknowledged that it stops tracking your listening habits by November, with the data covering 1 January to 31 October, so this years research has been completed.
