First things first, love this movie. I like how they defy and play with many of the tropes and cliches of horror films.
To the point though, holy fuck that ending. I love a monster mash as much as the next guy but this is on a whole other level. I love when movies do this, just a clusterfuck of chaos everywhere.

Cabin in the Woods - I just watched it and hate it can someone explain to me how this got a 90% on RT?
Maybe I'm missing something but personally this seems like a big Joss Whedon party.
Maybe they were intentionally trying to make this seem generic with a "twist" at the end but I really just don't get this movie.

Joss Whedon, Thor, pot jokes, zombies and mermen: this movie is ridiculously good. Especially once it really gets going. Just mindless, horrific fun. I hope others enjoy it as much as I do!

Thoughts on "The Cabin in the Woods"?
This is a movie from last year [if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it] and I've heard mixed reviews about it. I saw the movie knowing nothing about it and not to give away too much it definitely threw me for a loop. I thought it really pumped some life back into the slasher genre with its originality.
