How to repair a small dent on lcd monitor?
I used google and have tried some methods. I have a very very small dent on my lcd monitor which is the size of a pixel. It looks like a dead pixel but it is not since the dent is visible from an angle when the lcd monitor is off. Looks like the dent was caused by an object that fell on the lcd monitor. I have used vaseline which has reduced the size. What other methods are possible?
Thanks
Thanks

Bring it to Speedy for repair. Or, if you wanna DIY, a windshield repair kit from CT or body filler and sand paper. Use body filler to fill up the dent and SAND it to smooth it out.... LOL.
But don't do that if you are at home. Get another one. Those panels are cheap enough today.

No, you would need something perfectly clear to fill the dent with, it'll have to be perfectly smooth, and it would have to have the same refractive index otherwise you'll get distortions.carmaster wrote: Is there anyway to fill the dent? Because it is not that serious. Not noticeable unless you the background is black.
You can always try buying a new panel online. My friend's laptop screen cracked; IBM wanted $550 to fix it but I bought an identical replacemtn panel online for $95 and replaced it myself.
Depending on the brand, size, and age of the monitor it might be worth going the route or it might be better just to buy a new monitor.
