  • For some reason I cannot mount an ISO file in Win Server 2012? The server does not seem to recognize that it is an ISO file and wants me to tell it how to open. How can I resolve this? Please advise and thanks in advance.

    Based on my research, it is possible to mount an ISO file without any third-party software installed in Windows server 2012 and Windows 8.

    In general, if you have downloaded the ISO file on your computer, you just need to right-click it and select Mount ISO from the menu.

    Maybe it is due to the flag that is set on the ISO file which makes it unable to mount. I recommend you make a copy of the ISO file and place it anywhere then mount it to see if the issue persits.
