Starting today, PUGBG is not loading anymore. Some Window appears saying Reinstalling/fixing files didn't help. What else can be done?

ReShade is a similar program for PUBG which gives players a better viewing capability to gain an upper hand and has thus been banned by the developers. If you are using ReShade the BattEye launcher will not let you log in to the game. If you aren’t using ReShade and still cannot log in to PUBG make sure that you verify the game files on Steam so that it can replace any damaged files. If all else fails you can also try deleting the files that cause the error in PUBG but before you do that make sure that you make a copy of them somewhere on your HDD. I once had the same for like 10 minutes until i noticed I started the wrong client :D Try to close all applications that need to go into the kernel. E.g. fanspeed, CPU temp, gpu temps etc. these progs might access the Kernal which might interfere with BE. (maybe you recently installed / activated something like that)

Error is: 16:40:07: Starting BattlEye Service... In steam it will say "RUNNING" for about 10 seconds and then disappear. BEService starts but quits. I never get to the splash screen or lobby. All other steam games working fine. Googled and found TONS of suggested fixes. I tried them ALL, including a fresh load of WIN10. Then I went to my spare laptop and found that the same thing was happening to PUBG there, and on that machine I had not taken a Windows update in some time, which leads me to believe that that problem is the result of a PUBG update and not Windows so all that time spend reloading the laptop was sure wasted. It seems that enough people are having the same problem in the last week or so that we would be hearing more about this. Hey, it's just a game so no freaking out here but still rather frustrating not to be able to use something you've paid for and invested in in-game swag. :( Any suggestions would be appreciated! |
