Me u hostel chiang mai reviews

My friend and I rent a doble room in the third floor, [room S1] the two beds at the begging looked okay. When we lied down one of them smelled like piss, we didn’t know if it was human or cat. There is a grey cat waking walking at the inside of the building. Maybe it was because of him But we have to be fair and the food was really tasty, the bathrooms were very clean and the workers were polite

Amazing location, right next to one of the main night markets for street food, and across the road from the old city walls. The centre of the old city was less than a 10 minute walk. 7 eleven less than 5 minute walk. Taxis’s easy to flag down from outside the hostel. Hostel was okay - great value for money seeing as this was one of the cheaper in the area. We stayed in a prívate double room on the third floor. Showers were hot, toilets cleaned daily. Room was very basic though. Air con worked well. Communal areas again were very basic. Reception sold food and drink most of the day. Had leaflets for tours and the staff working was helpful and friendly.

Arrived at the hostel an hour after check in had closed due to a flight delay. This was the only hostel on the streets that had theirs lights off and the reception looked closed down. People who was on my flight staying at different hostels close by was able to check in just fine. Due to solo travelling it felt very scary arriving to a hostel at 11:00pm and all the lights are off. I knocked on the door a couple of times and was treated by the rudest man who claimed to be the owner. I clearly had accidentally woken him up. He immediately shouted at me for knocking and arriving so late even though it was out of my hands that my flight was delayed. He continued to shout at me the hostel rules and called me rude for not understanding- I have been travelling solo for 5 months now and had no problems like this previously, as many hotels are aware flights and accidents can happen. I was sat in the reception of this hostel trying to find other accommodation however it was 11pm a lot of hostels check in’s had closed and it is also the lantern festival so everywhere is also fully booked. As I am trying to find accommodation the man who claimed to be the owner turned the lights off on me in reception and left sat there in the dark leaving me with no place to stay for the night even thought he had a free bed , which I had booked upstairs. The owner knew my name so was expecting me but wouldn’t let me check in because I was an hour late and had knocked on the door.
