What’s new:As we approach the release of the 2023 Ford Expedition, we’ve heard that we’re going to see updates all-around but less than the fully redone 2022 model. We’re hoping that the rumors are true that the Platinum Max will be top of the line this year so stay tuned to see what that will entail. Here’s what we can tell you: Show
Engine options:The engine options should be the same we saw in 2022 but it is rumored that a 3.5-liter Ecoboost V6 engine with 430 hp and 570 lb-fts of torque might be in the works. The hybrid engine has a twin-turbo with an impressive 400 hp so we hope to see even more for the Timberline. Trims & Price: Right now, we only have an idea of what some of the costs will be for some of the trims. We estimate that the base and top Platinum Max will range at about:
Tech:We’ve heard that an updated center stack with a large, portrait touchscreen that serves as an infotainment hub that reaches as high as 15.5-inches will be included. Also, a revised digital instrument cluster and new vents inside . We’re excited to see how this will dazzle the interior with its large array of helpful features. Interior & Exterior:We can report that there should be spacious cargo room inside, 3 rows of seats, power-folding seats and wood/leather trim throughout. Higher trims are said to have satin/aluminum exterior trim. The front seats are also ventilated with massaging capabilities. For the exterior, we think the 2023 Ford Expedition will be quite the eye catcher on the road. The Platinum will most likely offer a roof rail and bars along with some other luxuries. Based on the looks of its rear suspension and a lower swing arm, we think it may also be taller. Skid plates and wheels that resemble the 2021 Timberline allude to the possibility that the Expedition will be off-road equipped. We hope to see new headlights, grille, lower fascia and bumpers for a totally new look and so far we’ve seen Goodyear Wrangler AT/S tires, a dual-exhaust system and some black-light lenses in a variety of colors. Additional Packages:We’ve heard there will be some additional packages offered for lower trims to help you create your dream ride with the 2023 Ford Expedition. Some of these include all-terrain tires, an upgraded radiator, heavy-duty trailer crane pack, and surround camera system. An electronic limited-slip differential, FX4 off-road pack trailer. back-up assist, skid plate & fuel guard and a trailer brake controller are some other features we hope to see. Conclusion:As we strain to catch a sneak peek of the 2023 Ford Explorer, we’re excited about what we’ve seen so far.
