Schematics are scroll-like items that can be placed/hung near a Workbench to unlock new crafting options or to apply special effects. The 4 categories of Schematics - Basic Schematics, Tools of War Schematics, Treatises, and Honing (Gild) - can be obtained from Dungeon Chests, Bastion Remnant Chests/Piglin Trades, Villager Trades, and Nether Fortress Chests, respectively. Show Using Schematics[]To use a schematic, it must be placed on a Workbench or within a 5x5 horizontal area of the Workbench, either at 1 or 2 y levels above the Workbench. Schematics can be placed on the side of any solid block individually, or stacked together on top of a solid block. Up to 6 schematics can be stacked on 1 block. Only one schematic can be placed on top of a Workbench at a time. When stacked on top of a block, schematics can be picked up with a single left click. Some schematics have an "intricate" attribute which requires them to be placed on top of the workbench to take effect. This info is also displayed in a tooltip of a schematic. Appearance[]Placed schematics. In order from left to right: single schematic, a maximum pile of 6 schematics and two schematics hanging on a Rack Schematics appear to be ancient scrolls of some kind, with each main category of schematic having a differently coloured scroll, as well as each schematic having a binding of a unique colour keeping the scroll rolled up. When placed in the world, the player can see the name of the schematic by looking at it, except for when multiple schematics are stacked on top of a block. When placed on the side of a solid block, schematics appear to be unrolled and hung up on the wall. When placed on top of a Workbench, schematics appear to be unrolled and laying flat on the bench. When stacked on top of a solid block, schematics appear rolled up, similar to their inventory sprite, but 3D. Basic Schematics[]The three basic schematics are blue in appearance and each unlock an additional module in the Workbench UI. They are:
Obtaining Basic Schematics[]All 3 basic schematics are found in dungeon chests and through villager trading. They can also be accessed via the creative inventory. Ancient Schematics[]Ancient schematics were added to tetra around version 5.0.0. They are multiblock structures found in the Ruins. Each singular schematic block can be found in it's ruined variant, which make the schematic dysfunctional. When placed near a workbench, they unlock additional new modules. For now there are 3 types of ancient schematics:
For the blueprints to function, all parts of the blueprint need to be placed within a 5x6x5 range of the Workbench or Forge. An easy way to picture the range is to project a 5x5x5 cube, centered 2 blocks above the workbench and to then extend it 1 block downwards. If all the parts of the schematic are within this range, then the blueprint will function Tools of War[]The Tools of War Schematics have a dark brown appearance and allow the player to Warforge double-headed tools. Tools of War Chapters[]
Obtaining Tools of War Schematics[]All 8 Tools of War chapters can be obtained through Piglin Trades, and in chests in Bastion Remnants. They can also be accessed via the creative inventory. Treatises[]Treatises allow the player to access certain buffs to their crafting abilities. There are two kinds of Treatise: Expertise, and Efficiency. Expertise Treatises[]Expertise Treatises cause major modules crafted with the corresponding material type to provide extra damage and efficiency. They include:
Efficiency Treatises[]Efficiency Treatises causes the crafting or repairing of modules using the corresponding tool type to sometimes use up fewer materials. They include:
Obtaining Treatises[]All Treatises are obtained through trading with villagers. They can also be accessed via the creative inventory. Honing (Gild)[]Honing schematics currently include one kind of schematic, called Gild, which has 5 tiers. The Gild schematic allows the player to hone the magic capacity of any major module. Each level of honing requires the corresponding tier of Gild schematic. Obtaining[]Gild I schematics are obtained from chests in nether fortresses. To obtain higher tiers of Gild schematics, lower tiers must be combined in a crafting table. Gild I + Gild I = Gild II, Gild II + Gild II = Gild III, etc. all the way up to Gild V. |
