So sánh tính từ và trạng từ trong tiếng anh

Sau đây là bảng tóm tắt về các dạng so sánh của tính từ, trạng từ. Trong tiếng anh đặc biệt trong lúc học TOEIC, chúng ta có 3 loại so sánh cơ bản cần nắm rõ: So sánh bằng [không bằng]; so sánh hơn; so sánh nhất.

Mục tiêu của bài là các bạn nắm chắc những cấu trúc cơ bản đồng thời có thể đặt được câu dựa vào vốn tính từ và trạng từ các bạn đã có sẵn.

Các dạng so sánh của tính từ và trạng từ

1. Công thức chung:

S1+be+as+ adj+as+ S2

Ex: She is as charming as her mother was

1. Công thức chung:

S1+Verb+as + adv+ as+ S2

Ex: He runs as quickly as his father

S+be not + as/no + adj + as + S2

Ex: The inflation rate this year is not as high as last year's

Ex: The meeting this morning didn't go as well as the previous one

Công thức chung: + Đối với những tính từ dạng ngắn [1 âm tiết] và những tính từ 2 âm tiết trở lên nhưng tận cùng là y, er, ow, et S1+ be+ adj+er+ than+ S2 Ex: - She is hotter than her close friend - They are happier than their parents - He is cleverer than his friends - This room is quieter than that one + Đối với những tính từ 2 âm tiết trở lên trừ những trường hợp ở trên S1+ be+more+adj+than+ S2 Ex:The economy this year is more fluctuating than the previous one 2. Cách thêm “er” vào sau adj - Những tính từ tận cùng là «e» thì thêm « r »: larger, wider... - Những tính từ tận cùng là 1 phụ âm trừ W, trước đó là 1 nguyên âm thì gấp đôi phụ âm: hotter, bigger... - Những tính từ tận cùng là « y » trước đó là 1 phụ âm thì chuyển « y » sang « ier »: happier, noisier

Công thức chung + Đối với những trạng từ giống hệt tính từ: long, close, fast, low, late, hard, wide, high, early S1+V chia+ADV+er+than+S2 Ex: She often comes to class later than her friends + Đối với những trạng từ dài S1+Vchia+more+ADV+than+S2 Ex: They play more beautifully than other contestants 2. Cách thêm « er » vào sau Adv - Những trạng từ cùng dạng với tính từ, cách thêm « er » như bên phần Adj: longer, later...
