The Whig Party
The Whig Party was formed to support the power of Congress over the power of the President. People who supported the Whig party were the urban middle class, entrepreneurs, and reformers. People who didn't like the Whig party were farmers and laborers, and obviously the other parties like the Demoracts etc.
