Colour b4 hair colour remover reviews

I have dyed my hair lots over the last 20 years and over the last 6 months I have gone from dark red, to brown to pillar box red, back to dark red, purple and most recently blue with pink ends. It got to the point where the colour wasn't sticking properly and something needed to be done.

I decided to give a hair colour remover a try. I have used Colour B4 in the past and it worked OK. Years ago I went from dark red and it lightened my hair to ginger. It definitely took most of the red out.

ColourB4 is the easy way to remove hair colour at home. Simply comb in, wait, rinse away and your hair is free of colour without using ammonia or bleach. It takes you back to your lightest shade. It will return your hair to its natural colour if the artificial hair colour applied is darker than your natural level.

When I started my hair was blue/purple with blondish ends and I just assumed it would go back to light brown or even ginger.

To use this you mix part A (the activator) & B (the remover) together and then section the hair into 4. Working from underneath gently work the product through the hair ensuring it is well covered. Once hair is completely covered, place cling film over the hair. This generates heat and encourages the colour to loosen from the hair.

It was a gloriously sunny day so I went and sat outside for a bit to get a extra bit of heat on my head and some fresh air. The Colour B4 mixture really does stink, a lot like rotten eggs. You leave the lotion on for 60 minutes before you rinse.

When I came back in from outside the kids were laughing. It turns out my hair had started to turn green. I just assumed that was part of the process.

Once ColourB4 has been on the hair for 60 minutes you then rinse it for 5 minutes using warm water. Once rinsed apply half of the bottle C (the buffer) like a shampoo and then rinse for a further 5 minutes and apply the 2nd half of bottle C and rinse again.

This isn't a quick process from start to finish it took nearly two hours and when I was finished I was left with a mixture of blonde and green hair.

I was half hoping that it would go back to blonde, the colour I always lighten it to before I put a bright colour on. I was not expecting green but I did sort of like it. It certainly was something a little different. After I had towel dried it I put a good couple of handfuls of conditioner on it as it felt more like straw than hair. I have dyed my hair a lot in the last year and it has never felt anything like it did. I was worried to put another dye on so kept the green overnight. Thankfully the conditioner helped.

It did work despite it being green. It got rid of the build up of colour and but I won't be rushing to use it again as it left my hair feeling awful! I didn't stick with the green, I went pink the next day. hehehe

The Colour B4 costs around £9.99 from most places that you buy hair products but I bought mine from Ebay for £6.99 so it is worth looking on there.

I was dubious of trying these colour removers on my red hair. I had about 5 years worth of colour build up so I wasn't expecting much but I was surprised with the results. I used one box to do the whole head but my ends were still darker so I used another box from the midlength to the ends. The colour I ended up with wasn't my natural colour, more a gingery shade but it took it light enough for me to re dye a new colour.

Colour B4 Hair Colour Remover is does amazing wonders, if you previously dyed your hair and you don't like the outcome, BUY THIS PRODUCT! its not a bleaching kit, and contains no ammonia. Follow the instructions carefully though for best results! This product does have a perm like smell to it though (make sure your windows are open as the smell it really over powering and made me kinda nauseous. Colour b4 hair color remover is used to remove semi-permanent and permanent hair colors to restore your hair to its natural color again.

I used this product to become my natural light blonde again, as I dyed my hair medium blonde, then bright red and purple ombre, then went over that with a medium dark brown thinking it would fully dye my hair brown but instead I got brown steaks and blotch's of browns all throughout my hair because of the red and purple. It looked like a mess, so I bought this product, followed the instructions carefully, left on for 60 minutes and when I washed and buffed my hair... I was my natural light blonde again, (I did have a slight tinge of pink from the red in certain parts on my hair, but I still had enough application to apply it again to JUST those spots. And no more colors! Just pour natural blonde again. And its a reasonable price for only $14.99 at WalMart. No more paying those nasty salon bills to get rid of that horrible hair dye job!

I used Color b4 on my dark brown hair to lighten it up. I read reviews on this product and many people have mentioned that it was the easiest way to go lighter rather than bleaching. The best part was that I I was able to dye my hair shortly after. I'm very pleased with this product and I recommend to give it a try rather than bleach.

I have naturally black hair, and have been going grey since I was 14 and have been dying grey roots back to black since then (minus a few stints as a blonde or redhead) I am now 29, and all my hair has now been subjected to black dye. I decided this year, I wanted to lighten my hair to a medium auburn. Removing black hair dye can be very difficult, and costly at a salon, so I decided to try Colour B4, purchased for 13.99 at Rexall. It contains NO BLEACH AND NO AMMONIA. So I figured, why not. It mixed very similarly to home hair dye, and sat on my hair for an hour. It did not get hot, but I did have a bag on my head. After the hour you rinse for 5 mins, then add half of the bottle of buffer (included), and scrub up for a few mins, then rinse and repeat. I let my hair dry completely so I could asses how much color was removed before I dyed to my new auburn color. There were a few pieces near my face that were a dark brown, but overall, I was a light brown color, and almost blonde on some parts. I was impressed how well it did with bleach or ammonia. After my new color was added, those darker parts actually made the color look more natural by added depth to the color palette.

Does B4 Colour remover work?

However it will strip out the colours you have put on your hair (This does not include bleach as bleach removes the colour from your hair and these high lights will often be slightly tarnished after using Colour B4 but it will remove colour you have put on top of them) out and leave you with a more workable canvas.

Will ColourB4 damage my hair?

Although Colour B4 contains no harsh chemicals like bleach, peroxide and ammonia, it is however a chemical treatment and you should always rest your hair before the next product application.

How good is Colour B4 extra strength?

It's much better than any other color remover I've tried and a million times better than bleach for my fine hair. I rinsed and rinsed and rinsed because I didn't want my hair to darken as other people said they experienced days after this treatment.
