Whenever you install Microsoft Office on your system, it is really important that you have it activated. If you do not activate Microsoft Office, you won’t be able to use any of its applications. In case, if you have Microsoft Office 2016 or 2013 installed, and you got Microsoft Office cannot verify the license for this product error, this post is for you. In this article, we will propose some solutions to resolve the issue.

According to Microsoft, there could be 2 reasons for this problem:

• Missing SoftwareProtectionPlatform registry key on your system. Usually it is suspected that an upgrade might have removed this registry key.
• Another reason could be if you are running Microsoft Office apps in the compatibility mode for different operating system.

Now, here is how you can solve this problem.

FIX 1 – Check SoftwareProtectionPlatform registry key

As we mentioned above, this could be due to missing SoftwareProtectionPlatform registry key. You can import the SoftwareProtectionPlatform registry key from a different computer, where Office is working perfectly.

Registry Disclaimer: It is recommended to create a System Restore point first, if you’re not familiar with registry manipulation.

1.Run regedit command to open Registry Editor.

2.In left pane of Registry Editor window, navigate to:

HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-20\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

3. If you can locate SoftwareProtectionPlatform registry sub-key as shown in below screenshot, then refer FIX 2. Else, go to step 4.

4. If SoftwareProtectionPlatform registry is missing, you need to go to another computer where Office apps are working fine. Just import SoftwareProtectionPlatform registry key from that system.

5. Import the SoftwareProtectionPlatform registry key to original system where you’re facing this issue.

6. Once imported, right click on SoftwareProtectionPlatform registry key and select Permissions.

7. Under Group or user names, select NETWORK SERVICE. Make sure that the Allow checkbox next to Full control is selected, and then select Apply then OK.

Biểu hiện của lỗi trên đó là, bạn không thể sử dụng bất kì ứng dụng nào trên Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook…). Và hiện tượng rõ ràng nhất đó là khi bạn mở bất kì ứng dụng nào trên Office, trên màn hình sẽ hiển thị một thông báo: “MicrosoftOffice cannot verify the license for this product. You should repair the office program by using Control Panel”.

Cách Sửa Lỗi “Microsoft Office cannot verify the license for this product. You should repair the office program by using Control Panel”

Các bạn hãy thử các phương pháp sau đây:

Phương pháp 1: Repair bộ cài Microsoft Office trên Control Panel

Bước 1: Bấm tổ hợp phím Cửa sổ (Windows) + R (hoặc kích vào Start gõ Run, sau đó ấn Enter

Bước 2: Gõ appwiz.cpl, sau đó ấn Enter, để truy cập vào Control Panel

Bước 3: Trong cửa sổ Control Panel, bạn tìm tới chương trình Microsoft Office. Sau đó, nhấn chuột phải kích vào Change.

Bước 4: Cửa sổ Change your installation of Microsoft Office hiện ra, bạn chọn Repair. Sau đó ấn Next ở góc dưới cùng bên tay phải.

Bước 5: Lúc này, cửa sổ Configuration Process hiện ra, bạn hãy chờ một thời gian để quá trình Repair hoàn tất.

Bước 6: Sau khi sửa chữa hoàn tất, bạn hãy Restart lại máy và kiểm tra xem còn lỗi đó còn xuất hiện không nhé.

Phương Pháp 2: Active Lại License hoặc License mới cho Microsoft Office

Lí do làm việc này đó là, rất có khả năng bộ cài Microsoft Office của bạn có vấn đề với License đang sử dụng (License hết hạn, license bị lỗi, license đã được sử dụng ở một máy tính khác…). Do đó, hãy thử active lại license cũ hoặc một license mới xem sao nhé.

Bước 1: Hãy thực hiện lại các Bước 1 đến Bước 3 của Phương Pháp 1.

Bước 2: Hãy chọn Enter a Product Key để Active lại License.

Bước 3: Trong cửa sổ Enter your Product Key hãy điền License Key theo yêu cầu.

Bước 4: Ấn Continue để thực hiện Active Key.

Bước 5: Nếu Active thành công, cửa sổ Microsoft Office sẽ thông bác cho bạn là “Successful” nếu không thành công sẽ là “Unsuccessfull”

Bước 6: Kiểm tra lại xem lỗi đã khắc phục được chưa nhé.

Phương Pháp 3: Update Windows

Nếu cả 2 phương pháp trên chưa thành công, thì khả năng nguyên nhân là do Windows của bạn chưa Update. Lí do xảy ra lỗi đó là Windows của bạn chưa Update lên phiên bản mới nhất do đó không phù hợp với Microsoft Office bạn đang dùng. Lúc này License của Microsoft Office báo Failed với nền tảng Windows bạn đang sử dụng.

Bước 1: Bạn hãy vào Control Panel àAll Control Panel Items

Bước 2: Hãy tìm đến thư mục Windows Update và kích vào nó.

Bước 3: Trong cửa sổ Windows Update, bạn có thể kích vào Checking for Update hoặc đường link Check online for updates from Microsoft Update

Bước 4: Hãy chờ quá trình Update hoàn tất, nếu đúng là do Windows của bạn lâu ngày không Update thì quá trình sẽ khá lâu (Nửa tiếng – 1 tiếng)

Bước 5: Restart lại máy và kiểm tra lại Office.

Nếu 3 phương pháp trên không hữu hiệu, tôi khuyên bạn nên cài đặt lại phần mềm Office. Bạn có thể tải và lấy cd key office 2010 professional plus để fix hoàn toàn lỗi ở trên.
