The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Tier List ranks all 42 Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Characters from the top tier to the bottom tier, looking at the racing statistics to decide which ones deserve to be called the best Mario Kart 8 Deluxe character.
This list does not take into account character variant/costumes, as their stats do not differ from their normal variants and are simply reskins. This refers to costume changes, such as multicolour Yoshi’s and Shy Guys’s or Link’s Breath of the Wild costume, but does not mean the difference between Mario/Peach and Metal Mario/Pink Gold Peach, as their stats differ from each other.
In addition, the weight classes in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe do not necessarily correlate to the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Tier List rankings. Whilst the ranking may favour one weight class over another, the ranking for the tier list takes into consideration more than just what weight class a character is in.
