Ordered wildflower turf and sand - delivery arrived at 06.45am - very surly man who kept saying that he wouldn't put on gravel (very firm mostly concrete has had loads of pallet deliveries). wanted to put on pavement (very irresponsible) So I refused delivery. Company completely unapologetic, just said they had done nothing wrong in T&Cs and would charge me anyway. What about customer service??? I cancelled sand in case I couldn't move from pavement (fined £50 by company) and turf redelivered later with absolutely no fuss and on gravel as suggested in first place. Utterly unnecessary. Won't be losing money to this company again.

HI Jo Thanks for your feed back, and I'm very sorry the delivery did not meet your expectations.

Unfortunately this is the exact reason why we clearly say we can not deliver onto gravel, as depending on the pallet, the driver and the equipment he has and the type / depth of gravel, it may or may or may not be possible to deliver onto gravel.

We do make it very clear in our checkout, delivery information, and order confirmation emails that we can not deliver onto gravel as we do not want to disappoint customers with delivery issues caused by gravelled areas.


Lawn Top Dressing.

After a fair amount of searching online I came across QGS and ordered 2 separate pallets of top dressing. I have to say a great service and chose my delivery date, the first pallet was perfect but the second sustained a little damage. I called reported it after signing for it damaged and have to say that the service was perfect, polite helpful and 100% honest and we sorted out the damaged items without any trouble at all.

I used the top dressing today and it was great quality, fully dry and it spread very easily. Very good product and I will be buying more later this year.

Hi Alex We have tried to contact you regarding your delivery address, From what we can see on Google maps, access to your property looks tight for an 18 tonne curtain sided lorry, so to prevent any failed delivery we put your order on hold until we could speak to you.

As ordered.. Good quality soil, delivered promptly and put in a sensible place. Spot on.

Does not live up to expectations. Delivery service is poor

Easy on line ordering. Responsive to emails when things went wrong with delivery. Bags were of variable quality - 2 bags of mushroom compost ordered , 1 was padded out with lots and lots of sand, other very rich and organic as expected.

Delivery service used by QGS is pretty shambolic.

Paid extra for express delivery and specified delivery date 5 days after ordering. Delivery finally arrived 2 days after the specified due date and only after much pushing.

Delivery service is a major let down and needs attention at a senior level

Having forked out extra £ for the Express service was decidedly poor.

Still not been reimbursed for the non express delivery service either.

Overall, a disappointing experience and will not be ordering again from QGS.

Hi Malcolm, thank you for your feed back, we are aware of the current issues with delivery, which we are hoping is a short term issue, caused by a huge spike in pallet delivery demand due to shops & pubs opening and lock down easing this week.

We have look at all delivery options to resolve this current issue, however all networks are in the same position due to this surge in demand, hopefully this will be a short term disruption to our usually excellent delivery service.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this situation.


Still waiting

Ordered two tonnes of top soil and specified a date, soil has still not arrived, now 3 days late and have waited in for 2 of those days. Poor communication from ‘quality garden supplies’ the irony in that name!

HI Jack I am looking into this issue for you now.. we are experiencing delivery delays this week, caused by a spike in pallet delivery demand due to lock down easing, which is affecting our normally excellent on time delivery targets.


Top soil

Easy to order, good and accurate communication, delivered on time, driver very helpful, looks like a good product, not yet emptied so, keeping an open mind. Would use again and recommend.

Delivery lost, no communication

Delivery was booked in weeks ago and failed to turn up today, after 5 Calls to them they informed me that it's been lost. Cancelled order and will go else where.

I have not received the soil and no has made contact with me. I have tried to call the garden centre to no avail. I have email them and there has been no reply.

Please refund my purchase if you cannot deliver the product. I am very disappointed.

Hi Gifty - we are very sorry to hear about this, I have just chased up TPN who are looking into where your delivery is. I will be in touch as soon as i get an answer.

I can see we dispatched this order on the 7th in time for delivery on your preferred delivery date, however one of your pallets appears to have been lost in transit which has delayed your delivery, sorry we were unaware of this issue.

I have spoken to TPN who are going to sort this out over the weekend and get delivery to you on Monday.

Apologies I can't make this happen any quicker.

Hugely let down with delivery

Website was fine to use, and to be fair the product I brought was also fine, went on to the delivery section and the delivery was approx a week, but the option to pay for next day was available, once ticked to say I’d pay the 25 pounds the next day day became available so I selected it and payed the extra, received a consignment number to track my order whilst it transit, this worked until 13:00 hours and then stopped, tied to call garden supply but they are not/not available to answer there phones, finally got through to the delivery company to find out where my two pallets were, to be told that they wouldn’t be delivered today on the Thursday before bank holiday due to being Incredibly busy, and delivery wouldn’t be till Tuesday next week, Tuesday came nothing as they had put my tow pallets on a 44t lorry unfit for residential drop off, Wednesday came first drop of the day they turn up, but the soil had slipped on both pallets during transit and took myself and the driver about an hour to try and get two pallets off the lorry. As the request I sent garden supplies a couple of emails as of yet iv not received a reply at all, just this link to the Survey. Not been particularly impressed with the way it all panned out but I needed the soil and luckily managed to get my boss to let me have a few extra days off after the bank holiday.

Turf was easy to order and good quality.

Turf was easy to order, arrived on time and in good condition. Turf is now laid and looks great; putting the rest of our lawn to shame.
